David Hamilton is a dynamic and engaging conductor at home leading orchestras and choirs and collaborating with artists on the stage and in the recording studio. His arrangements and compositions can be heard on recordings worldwide spanning classical, country, pop, gospel, and sacred music genres.

As a conductor of popular music drawing from his skills as a premiere arranger and orchestrator, a veteran pianist and recording session keyboard player, a touring band leader and years leading amateur and professional vocalists, he brings to the podium a unique ability to speak the musical languages of musicians from different backgrounds.   He often finds himself conducting music featuring his own score conducted and produced on the original recording session, and his playing on the studio rhythm track.

Touring with artists such as Amy Grant,  and Michael W. Smith,  leading Dolly Parton's  “Threads, My Songs in Symphony” which he arranged and orchestrated  and appearing with Lang Lang, CeCe Winans, Vince Gill and many others,  it has been Mr Hamilton’s privilege to conduct holiday and popular concerts with many of the leading American and Canadian orchestras. These  include among others, the Dallas, St. Louis, Denver, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Edmonton, Virginia, Kansas City, and Detroit orchestras.  David has guest conducted his hometown, Nashville Symphony numerous times .  He has also conducted the National Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops and has appeared multiple times at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
